Many people allow concern about their children to rob them of peace. I know that from personal experience. Even though Ken and I have always confessed and believed Isaiah 54:13, "All thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children," when our son, John, was a young teenager, I became disturbed in my heart about him.

I was concerned that he wasn't living right. He was doing what other boys his age were doing - driving fast, having a lot of accidents, turning over a truck and a motorcycle - naturally, these were things we didn't want him to do. I was concerned that he wouldn't live long enough to get his life straight, because that kind of lifestyle opens the door to the devil.

One day Ken and I were on an airplane traveling across Australia when anxiety about John came on me. The devil was trying to steal my faith, trying to get me to picture John being killed in an accident. I was at the point of yielding to agitation and losing my peace. But suddenly, Ken said, "The Lord just said to me, My mercy hovers over John!"

That was a direct answer from heaven to overcome my anxiety! I'd let my peace be disturbed, but God reassured me - My mercy hovers over John!

God's mercy will hover over your children, too, if you'll believe Him instead of believing the devil's lies. Get into the Word and let God's peace garrison and mount guard over your heart concerning your children. And if they're out in a place where you can't reach them, believe God to signal for them!

That's right - Zechariah 10:8 says God will signal for your children: "I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them." Hiss means "signal." Your son or daughter may be out in the world doing what the devil tells them to do, but don't be moved by what you see, all of it is subject to change.

Believe you receive their deliverance and salvation. Confess "great shall be the peace of my children." Refuse to yield to doubt and fear. Your faith will stop the devil in his tracks and open the door for God to say to them, "Pssst! Hey kids, come on into the Kingdom."

Don't allow concern for your children to rob you of peace. God's mercy hovers over them - and you.
