I recently accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I can't describe how good I feel or the peace I now have. My husband doesn't agree with what I've done and refuses to accept the Lord as his Savior. I feel he is going to hold me back and I've considered divorcing him. What advice can you give me?

I am excited about your conversion and appreciate your question. The Bible provides the answer to your problem.
To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him.

For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.
(1 Cor. 7:12-15)
The Bible declares that as long as your unbelieving mate is willing to live with you, you should not divorce him or her. The Bible does advise a single Christian to marry a Christian.

However, if you become a Christian after you're married, you are to stay in that relationship as long as your mate is willing. God will continue to work on your mate's heart. In fact it is much easier for God because your spouse will see God's light shining out of you.
