I heard God is against Christians of different races intermarrying. Is this true?

It IS okay for different races to intermarry! God is not against people of different races marrying one another. I realize that this is a very sensitive area for people of every race and that prejudice is deeply imbedded in many people.

However, as I study the Bible I discover a God who is colorblind. He only makes distinctions regarding people as a result of spiritual considerations (Deut. 7:3-4; 2 Cor. 6:14-16), never for physical reasons. Notice how the following section of Scripture reveals this concept.
Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right."
(Acts 10:34-35 NIV)
God is concerned with His relationship with man, not with man's race or ethnic background. It is important to remember that God created every existing race of people and the Bible does not teach that one race is better than another.

You won't find one verse in the Bible that forbids you to marry outside your race. If the Bible forbids you to marry, it is for spiritual reasons and not because of race. I continue to teach people that all men are equal in the sight of God. The Bible makes no distinction between one race and another.

I realize that I may provoke some people's prejudices, causing them to deal with their wrong attitudes in this area. However, I am determined to say what the Bible says, not what we have been falsely taught, or what we may erroneously desire to hear.
