And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.
(Mark 16:15-20)
This is the reason you can expect results: You are going forth as an ambassador for Jesus, and the Lord will work with you.

Matthew said it this way: "And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" (Matt. 28:20).

The Lord worked with them. Doing what? Confirming...confirming the Word with signs following.

I expect results because I know that God is faithful. I don't go out on my merits; I go on His merit. He is faithful Who has promised (Heb. 10:23). Mark said of the disciples that the Lord worked with them, confirming the Word with signs following.

So when I go, I expect results. I expect the Father God to work with me and to confirm His Word with signs following.

In the second chapter of Acts, we read how Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and preached the Word to the Jews who had gathered in Jerusalem. Let's read about it. Let's see if God confirmed His Word for Peter and if Peter got any kind of results.
Now when they heard this (Peter's testimony), they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"

Then Peter said unto them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, "Save yourselves from this untoward generation."

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
(Acts 2:37-41)
In Acts 4:1-4 we read:
And as they (Peter and John) spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
Notice this says, "...them which heard the word believed."

Do you remember Romans 10:14-15? It says, "How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?"

How can they believe unless they hear the Word? When you go, you are to speak the Word. Then when you speak the Word, you should expect results.
