If you want to share Jesus effectively, you have to realize your authority in Christ. The reason is because you need to have a proper mental attitude before you go. If you are to be an effective witness, you must have a very positive attitude.

Don't go out thinking, "Oh, I just know this is going to be hard. This is a tough neighborhood; I just know these people aren't going to listen to me. They aren't interested in hearing what I have to say."

Don't approach it that way. That's negative thinking. To witness effectively you must have a proper attitude about what you are doing. The way to build a proper attitude is by relying on what the Word of God says about you. Don't look at the circumstances; don't lean to your own feelings. Look only at what God says.

When I go out to share Jesus, I don't allow myself to think negatively. The purpose of my going in the first place is to win. If I open my mouth and share the Word with just one person, I am already a winner, regardless of whether or not that person gets born again while I'm talking to him.

I've planted the seed, God will send somebody else to water it, and God will get the increase. I go out with a very positive attitude, and God honors it. I go out expecting results with every person.
