Successful people tell you all the time: "You have to pay the price for success." I once asked the Lord, "What does it really mean to pay the price?"

He said, "Paying the price is this: you are willing to do what others won't do to get the end result that you want."

The proof of desire is pursuit.

If you want revival in your life, you have to pay the price for it. You may have to sacrifice some things in your life to achieve your desire. The proof of desire is pursuit. What we really want, we spend time pursuing.

How do you get revival? By getting hungry for God. By realizing that you want God more than anything else. By sacrificing your heart. By laying down your desires and your will for His will.

Revival is caught not taught. We experience revival by being where God is pouring out His Holy Spirit. We spend time soaking in an atmosphere where God is moving.

Revival begins in you. You have to get hungry for God; you have to want God more than anything else. Nothing else can satisfy. The pleasures of this life must take second place to God. There is a price to pay.

There are many praying for revival that will never taste of it, because they are not willing to pay the price for it.

Revival will Cost You
People ask me, "What will it cost me to have revival in my life?" The answer to this question is: Everything! It will cost you everything to have God truly bring a visitation to your life.

It cost Jesus everything, including His life, to revive mankind and bring them back to God. After the fall of Adam, man became spiritually dead.

To restore mankind, Jesus had to take on the form of a man, come to earth, then suffer and die to pay the price to redeem us from sin. Jesus paid the ultimate price for revival. He was the greatest revivalist that ever walked the face of the earth.

We will never know the price godly men and women have paid through the past centuries for revival, but the Bible tells us of the disciples of old and how many of them were persecuted for the Gospel.

Persecution is still a reality in many parts of the world. According to the International Missionary Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is estimated that close to 160,000 Christians every year will be martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ. That is a heavy price to pay!

The Desire To Tell Others
When revival hit my life, the desire to tell others about Jesus became overwhelming. I had to have an outlet. The church we attended started a soul-winning team that would go out on Saturdays to knock on doors and invite people to church.

We saw many come to the Lord and several were filled with the Holy Spirit. We would meet at the church and pray for an hour for the people in the area where we were going. Then we would go out two by two.

One Saturday, my partner and I knocked on a door and a man immediately answered. I said, "My name is Jack Myers and this is my friend Richard. We are from a church in the area, and we are inviting people to come to church."

As soon as I said this, the man burst out into tears. He told us how his thirteen-year old daughter was missing and how he was glad we stopped by. We were able to minister to him and pray for him and his daughter that day.

People in this world are hurting badly. We have the answer for them—His name is Jesus!

After you start winning people to Jesus, you can get real hooked on bringing people to Christ. I became a soul-winning machine. The desire to see the lost come to God will force you to tell others about Jesus.

Revival: the Journey to Your Destiny
Are you willing to lay your life down for the ministry? For revival? For Jesus? For others? There will be a price to pay for revival and it will cost you.

But for all who are willing to pay the price, the reward will be great. There will be a price to pay for revival, but how can anyone put a price on a soul that is won to Jesus?

Revival is not just one experience with God—here today and gone tomorrow. Revival is a lifestyle. Contend for revival, because the enemy knows that if he can stop revival, he can get the Church into a lethargic state.

And the Church has been lethargic way too long. We must understand the time in which we live. Time is short and Jesus is coming back very soon. We are living in the last days, the time of the former and the latter rain together.

It is the time of the Word and the Spirit coming together and bringing the dead to life. You were born for such a time as this!

Gods idea of success in revival is that when everything that will come against you to stop the move of God in your life, you can say, "Through it all, I still have my family and my determined purpose."

Remember, revival starts in your heart. Allow God to touch it and change it.
