Are you tired of living an average lifestyle? Do you feel as if your life is stagnant and that you're not making any real progress toward success? Perhaps you're not satisfied with your level of income and want to do more than just "get by" from day to day.

You may have prayed, fasted, tithed and given offerings, but have yet to see any tangible results for the seeds you have sown.

Child of God, don't throw in the towel. I have good news. God has made it possible for you to live far above your circumstances. The fact may be that you're struggling now, but who's report will you believe concerning your outcome? People may say that you'll never amount to anything, or that there's no need to pray because God isn't listening.

They may even laugh at your decision to stand in faith. But Honey, let them laugh. Your day of success and rejoicing is near, and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

Through God you are an overcomer (John 16:33). And regardless of what you're facing, He has given you everything you need - His Word and authority - to change your status in life and live victoriously.

Destined for Greatness
You've been called to live the abundant, God-kind of life Jesus spoke of in John 10:10. It's a life free from lack that includes living in the prosperity and peace of God where there's nothing missing or broken in your life. The abundant life is a part of every believer's covenant with God, and involves being fully supplied and overflowing with everything you need.

Whether you realize it or not, God has destined you for greatness. That's right! When He cut (established) covenant with Abram, who God later names Abraham (see Gen. 15-17), and promised to bless his offspring, He had you in mind.

According to Galatians 3:29, we are Abraham's spiritual seed (offspring), Ephesians 1:5 says we are predestined to be adopted into the covenant family of God. And our greatness was included when He told Abram, "I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great..." (Gen. 12:2).

There are several definitions for the word great. Among them are "high, mighty, more and much." To make great means, "to make large as in body, mind, estate or honor; to advance, to bring up, to increase and to promote."

You see, you are a partaker in a covenant of greatness whereby God will bring increase and promotion to the Body of Christ. He is prepared to advance you far beyond average living. And because God is covenant-minded (Ps. 111:5), He's obligated to make your name great too.

Throughout Scripture, we see the greatness of the Lord declared. We also see His ability to make His people great. The best way I can describe Him is by saying He's a Big God. He's so big that when Moses asked to know His name, He replied, "I AM THAT I AM" (Ex. 3:13-14). The Hebrew translation is, I AM BECAUSE I AM. In other words, God said, Moses I AM so big, I can be whatever you need ME to be.

Child of God, He's everything you need to succeed in life. He created a big world in which you can exercise your authority. But your greatness is only effective once you come into the knowledge of Who you serve and who you are in Him. It does you no good to have the knowledge of Who God is and not accept His greatness as your own.

In other words, even if you know that you were made in His image, unless you accept the authority He's given you and begin to walk in it, you'll never receive your covenant benefits. It's like being an heir to the king and never claiming your inheritance.

Expand Your Capacity
In order for me to walk in the promises of God, I had to renew my mind where prosperity was concerned. The choice was up to me; I had to put away my religious thinking and conform to the Word or I would have continued living an average life. But the more I understood my calling, the more I grew and prospered.

I had to give myself over to God so He could give me all of Him. In other words, I made a choice to study the Word, live by it and allow my life to be governed by Him. This was a part of expanding my capacity of faith and allowing God to bless me.

It will work the same way for you. The degree to which you expand your capacity by renewing your mind with the Word and submitting to God, is the degree to which He can operate in your life and bring you success.

You see, God is the One Who will protect and reward you. Although you may feel as if you've been cheated in life, the Word says He is your abundant compensation. He wants you to live in abundance, but you must give Him the opportunity to reward you with abundance.

God desires the best for you and will do whatever it takes to bring you out of your situation. In fact, He's able to do above and beyond what you can imagine. The Word says He's able "... To (carry out His purpose and) do superabundantly, far over and above all that we (dare) ask or think (infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams)" (Eph. 3:20).

This is the nature of God - to bless us excessively. As far as He is concerned, there's no such thing as too many blessings for His children. For example: When He gave Solomon the instructions for building the temple, He was demonstrating His broad vision for the extravagant lifestyle He wanted Solomon to enjoy. Solomon had no choice but to say, "... great is our God above all gods" (2 Chron. 2:5). He's an excessive God Who has a big vision.

Child of God, don't ever be satisfied with living below God's standards. Mediocre living is not His style, neither is it His plan. Examine your life and make room for Him to fill it with abundance.

Tap in to the power of God - the anointing - through prayer and meditating on the Word. Then expect an overflow. Don't settle for less than what is rightfully yours. Don't rest until you can write checks for millions of dollars to help spread the gospel around the world.

In order for you to do the "greater works" Jesus spoke of in John 14:12, your status in life must change. Therefore, begin to think big. Realize that you serve a BIG God Who has destined you to do big things. He has predestined you to live in the over and above!
