What comes to your mind when you think of Easter? Is it the Easter Bunny, pink eggs and white dresses? Contrary to popular opinion, Easter isn't about any of these things. Instead, Easter is about Jesus and what He did for us. 

Jesus died, went to hell and was resurrected by the Father so that you and I could have eternal life in heaven and abundant life on earth. He gave you the authority to do the same works that He did during His earthly ministry. You've been given the power to raise the dead, heal the sick and speak to circumstances and watch them change. The question is, what are you doing with your power? 

To not partake of the authority that rightfully belongs to you is to forfeit an important part of your salvation. In Mark 16: Jesus says,

And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.
(Mark 16:17-18 AMP)

You have dominion over the enemy! That was one of the benefits that was purchased for you on Calvary. 

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in you (Ephesians 1:19-20). When you accepted Jesus as your Lord, you were adopted into God's family; resurrection power was imparted to your spirit. It is now up to you to draw that power out. 

Raising the dead, healing the sick and speaking life to circumstances should come naturally to every Believer. But getting to that point doesn't happen overnight or without effort on your part. It will take a serious commitment in order to infuse your spirit with God's Word to the point that you become a walking demonstration of Scripture. Constantly meditating and acting on what you believe is the only way to develop the faith necessary to do these greater works. Hearing God's voice and instantly obeying Him are also keys to positioning yourself for mighty exploits in the kingdom of God. 

The Apostle Paul said in Hebrews 6:1-2 (AMP):

Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God, with teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.]
(Heb. 6:1-2 AMP)

He makes it clear that raising the dead and laying hands on sick people are elementary teachings. Even he desired to move beyond operating solely in these areas so he could advance to bigger things. 

Most believers marvel at the idea of raising the dead. Today's church just doesn't see this type of miracle. But I believe that's about to change. The acts of the apostles and the works that Jesus performed will soon be manifested in the body of Christ like never before. God is willing and able to show himself strong through His people according to their faith. I don't know about you, but I want to be counted as one who did the "greater" rather than one who settled for average. 

As you meditate on the significance of Easter, keep in mind that resurrection power isn't just in Jesus' hands; it's in yours too. Claim the authority that rightfully belongs to you, and give the world something to talk about. You've got the power!
