What is the full gospel? What is its purpose?
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
(Romans 8:3)
And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, And stood at His feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed His feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
(Luke 7:37 – 39)
The woman who came to Jesus was weeping; she loved, and she had a deep awareness of her past condition. In verse 50 of Luke chapter 7, her faith saved her. She abolished sin by her sacrifice of herself by preparing Jesus for His death and resurrection. This oil normally went on the head; she poured it on His feet. A respectable woman never unbound her hair in public. She showed humility, for it was servants' work to attend to the feet. Her love for Christ was greater than her love for self. She washed Jesus' feet with her tears. She had a choice to be one of three persons:

  1. Burdened by sin, and on the contrary, loving it (wholly bad)
  2. Burdened by sin and seeking to get rid of it by her own works (better)
  3. Burdened by seeing the hideousness of sin, but having a desire to be brought to see the power
of Jesus, settling the sin issue forever and putting it away
She chose the 3rd one found in Hebrews 9:24 – 26. She could not enter a sanctuary
structured by man (and be set free) and to come into the presence of God at the same time.

What is the full gospel? First, Jesus is the Healer; He is not the cause of sickness or any other problem in a person's life. No matter what the cause of sickness, Jesus is the remedy. God's wrath abides on sin, sickness, and disease, not on man. God in His love is constantly bringing judgment on sin with His Word. Under the New Covenant bought by the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Anointed, we have access to the fullness of God Himself through Christ. Jesus the anointed destroys the yoke. (Isa. 53:4 – 12)
