In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
(1 Thess. 5:18)
I thank God every morning for my wife, children, and grandchildren. I thank God for the homes in which I live. I thank God for the job I have. I thank God for my health. I thank God for everything. If I’m thanking God and happen to see a ray of sunlight coming through window slats, I thank Him for the sunshine, and I thank Him that I can see the sunshine.

You may say, “If you had to live where I live and how I live, you wouldn’t thank God for everything.” Oh, yes I would! You can always find something to complain about, or you can find something to praise God for. I choose to praise God!

You may say, “I don’t have any money.” Trust me. You don’t know what poverty is unless you’ve been to some places I’ve been to overseas. Lower middle-class Americans are some of the richest people in the world compared to many people. Plus, you don’t have to worry about soldiers kicking in your door and dragging you off for no reason. You don’t have to worry about being placed in front of a firing squad because somebody said that you were not loyal to the government. You are blessed! God has been good to you!

Prayer for Today
Father,
Thank you for giving me life. Thank you for showering all your good gifts on me and my family. Thank you for blessing me again and again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
