Nearly 2,000 years ago, Angels announcing the Glorious Event declared, "Glory to God in the Highest, Peace on Earth. For unto you is born a Savior."

Until this event, man had been no match for Satan's cunning deception. Even with a perfect God-given law, the children of Israel did not overcome.

According to Revelation 12, God had to provide a Savior who would shed His Blood for all mankind. Multitudes of people have since overcome Satan by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Oh, what a Savior!

Never can we thank God enough for the gift of His Son. Never can we offer praise and thanksgiving enough to our Lord Jesus.

Decades ago a song was written, "Joy to the World." The composer wrote: "Joy to the World the Lord is come. Let earth receive her King. Let every heart, prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven and heaven and nature sing."

Notice the repetition; Heaven and nature singing. Among those of us who truly know Jesus as our Savior, there ought to be continual rejoicing and worship. I pray this Christmas season will be one of the most blessed and anointed you have ever experienced.

The choice is yours. You can have a standard secular Christmas and spend too much on material things or you can have a joyfully blessed spiritual one.

The world, even though many are unbelievers, will celebrate. Massive amounts of money will be spent. Elaborate parties will be had and with no thought of Jesus. Santa Claus will have taken our Lord's place.

Jesus came to provide salvation and peace to a troubled world, because of God's love for mankind. Today multiplied hundreds of millions are without Jesus and the world has no peace.

Wars, rumors of wars, dreaded diseases, famines, ethnic problems and upheavals of nature are everywhere. Jesus prophesies these things in Matthew 24. Although history has always made mention of these categories, today they are greatly increasing.

Joy and peace are scarce commodities. All too often when there is an occasion for joy or peace, it is short and soon forgotten. Even in most of our churches today, there is not the peace and joy we once enjoyed.

Most Christians are so caught up in the cares of life and deceitfulness of riches that they too are short on peace and joy. Such conditions cannot please our Heavenly Father or our Lord Jesus.

The Apostle Paul writes, "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice." The Word of God states, "The joy of the Lord is our strength." We cannot deny there is joy in salvation, plus joy within the Fruit of the Spirit. Our Father wants our joy to be full.

Let me encourage you to use this Christmas season to replenish your joy. Let the peace of God mount guard over your mind and settle into the most wonderful relationship with Jesus and Our Father that you have ever experienced.

When you do this the joy and peace of the first Christmas story will stay with you throughout the year.

I pray you and yours will have the merriest and most blessed Christmas of all because of Jesus, the Anointed one.
