King Solomon wrote, "Put away from you a deceitful mouth..." (Proverbs 4:24, NASB).

Every day issues will come up that require honesty from staff.

When a customer complains or a quality problem surfaces, we must understand the complete background of the issue.

Employees must be forthright and not evasive, defensive or untruthful.

When presented with false statements, confront the issue and confirm the truth.

Be clear that future untruthful statements are grounds for discipline or dismissal.

Your leadership will be more effective as everyone cuts to the chase.
