Darrell Hykes

Darrell Hykes is the founder of Arise & Shine Ministries; a Word-based ministry, dedicated to evangelizing the world. In 1997, Darrell had a face-to-face encounter with Jesus. He answered the call and shortly afterward found himself ministering the Gospel to everyone with whom he came in contact. Hykes received his ministerial credentials in 2002. With almost 14 years in ministry, Darrell's goal has always been to tell everyone, everywhere the good news about Jesus. This is accomplished through personal conversations, the utilization of various media outlets, speaking engagements and maintaining an active role in the community. Hykes served in the military for six years. He's also spent time as an on-air disc jockey and television show host. In 2004, Darrell received The Capitol Statesman Tour, a mandate from God to travel to and pray from the capitol city of each state, specifically on the anniversary of each state’s statehood. Hykes is a native of Okolona, Mississippi. Darrell and his wife, Temeka, have three children and they live in Atlanta.
