Psalm 89:8, 14 (NLT)
…Faithfulness is your very character…Your throne is founded on two strong pillars—righteousness and justice. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.

This psalm describes the character of God. We, as His children, are to imitate Him and develop these vital character traits in our lives: faithfulness, righteousness, justice, love, and truth. We must remember He is all of these virtues. Each one is the very person of God and, at the same time, He is each one of those toward us.

We are to be known for our godly character. The only way to develop those character traits is by spending time with God. The more we seek Him, the more we get to know His person and character. The more we know Him, the more we will want to imitate His character.

If you find yourself in a situation at work or home where you think there is no way out, remember to seek God for who He is first and everything you need—including His character traits and virtues—will be given to you. He loves you and will always be faithful to you.
