According to some business writers, "defining reality" is the primary job of every CEO. The best leaders tend to be those that are best at assessing the situation objectively. Leaders who fail to define reality accurately rarely lead effectively. Many of the greatest leaders in the Bible had this quality.

For example, the greatest leader of all time, Jesus, consistently defined reality for His disciples. Like Jesus, effective leaders are sensitive to other's feelings, but they don't hold up a wet finger to the winds of opinion. They lead.

My question of the day for you is, "How would you rate your ability to assess the situation and communicate it to others?"
