Hebrews 10:35 says, "Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward."

Confidence is a part of faith. If we have faith, we have confidence.

First John 2:28 says, "And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming."

Some Christians act ashamed to be a Christian by attempting to be "politically correct" in public. When in a restaurant, some timidly bless their food, if they bless it at all. Sometimes the cute three year old is asked to pray simply so the adult won't have to. This shouldn't be.

Now everybody isn't going to be like Smith Wigglesworth either, who would stand up in a restaurant and yell, "May I have your attention, please. I'm getting ready to petition God to bless my food."

It doesn't mean you have to do it that way, either. We should never imitate someone else's boldness just in order to prove our own spirituality either.

But, likewise, we should not be ashamed. We must have and confidence and we must have boldness.

If we have confidence that God is Who He says He is, and if we believe that He will do what He says He will do, then we won't be trying to prove anything at the restaurant. We'll just reverently say thanks.

True confidence and boldness come as a by-product of walking by faith. Increase in faith and confidence will never be a problem.
