“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”
This is a great statement concerning the believers. We are all individuals, yet just one body together in Christ. We are each a part of the whole, yet individually important. We depend on one another.
That’s the way it is with us. Why did God set it up that way? It best suits His purpose and it best suits our divine design. We are not to be isolated islands.
The Message Bible says: “The body we’re talking about is Christ’s Body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of His Body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So, since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s Body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be….”
Jesus Christ makes us one body. We are designed to need each other and to be needed by others. Each one of us is vital to the success of God’s plan.
I am a member of the Body of Christ. I am not alone. The Spirit of God links me to every other believer.
