Plant God’s Word in Your Spirit

by Mark Brazee | 365 Days of Healing

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).

Many people in the body of Christ today are not walking in health. They may believe in their heads that healing belongs to them, but they haven’t received the revelation of it in their spirits.

But if Christians want to walk in health, they need to get the basic truths in God’s Word on healing lodged deep down inside them so they can become an effective, working part of their lives. Only then will they begin to see healing manifested in their bodies.

When I was just beginning to learn how to live by faith, I walked around confessing, “I know I’m healed. I believe I’m healed. I know I’m healed. I believe I’m healed.” The problem was, my body still felt sick!

But I kept reading, studying, and meditating on the Word, and God’s truth about healing finally dropped down into my spirit. The stronger the Word of God grew on the inside of me, the more I was able to walk in health. Of course, I still have “opportunities” to be sick, but now I choose not to accept them.

This is how I see it: How in the world can we get sick when God’s Word regarding what Jesus Christ purchased for our physical bodies is lodged in our spirits? What more do we need to know than, “Surely he hath borne our grief and sicknesses, and carried our sorrows and pains…and with his stripes we are healed”? (Isa. 53:4-5)

So when the devil tries to offer you some “lying vanity” symptom, just say, “No, I’m not taking that. That isn’t mine. Jesus took my sickness two thousand years ago!”

Confession:

Father, I abide in You, and Your words

abide in me. I choose to believe Your Word,

which says healing and health belong to me.

I walk in divine health because Jesus took

my sicknesses and carried my pains.

Don’t Waver!

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not...
