“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the Excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
God made us to be a people for His habitation and possession, in order that we would proclaim the virtues and benefits of Jesus Who called us. By our lifestyle, words, deeds, attitudes, and character we are to emulate the character of Christ. We are to transmit His excellent qualities and proclaim the wonderful works of God.
The Message Bible says: “But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you.”
You don’t have to be a pulpit minister to proclaim the greatness of God to the world around you. You do it by talking about the benefits of being a believer in everyday conversation with family and friends. Tell them all about Jesus.
God made me His child so I can proclaim to those around me the excellence of God.
