“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy” (1 Peter 4:12-13 KJV).
When you know how much God loves you, then it becomes easy to rejoice during a fiery trial. It’s easy because you know that God has made the way of escape for you. So don’t give in when the enemy tries to get you to quit. Instead, rejoice so that you may be glad with exceeding joy.
When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane, He was tempted to quit. But instead of quitting, He prayed. He prayed so fervently, until it seemed that great drops of blood fell from His face. He came to a place where He said, “Father let not my will, but let your will be done.”
Even though He was tempted to quit, He never did. And Jesus, having been in prayer, was strengthened by angels. Now you have angels that will show up to strengthen you, if you stay in prayer for your answer.
You might say, “Yes, but He was the Son of God; He was Jesus.” Well, who are you? You are a son of God. And the Bible says that you are an heir of God, and a joint heir with Jesus Christ. Whatever He gets you get.
That is why you must never give up. You have all the help you need, if you will hang in there and rejoice, confident that you have the victory. After you rejoice, then act like it is so. Talk like it is so. Walk like it is so. Shout the victory like it is so. Go to bed, get up, and praise God for the victory.
Even though you are in a fiery trial, you must look to the word of God for your deliverance, because in the Word you have victory. First Peter 1:6 says, “Wherein ye greatly rejoice….” You are to greatly rejoice while in the middle of a trial. You see, God has His part, which is deliverance. Your part is to greatly rejoice. You can count on God to do His part. Are you faithful to do yours?
The scripture said, “Wherein ye greatly rejoice,” rejoice, and rejoice. Now you may not feel like rejoicing. It doesn’t look like you should rejoice. It certainly doesn’t seem like a delightful thing, but you must decide to act on the Word of God.
The Word says to rejoice. If you are facing a trial, rejoice. When you are going through a trial, count it joy, a delightful thing. When you do your part, then God is faithful, and He will be right there to bring you out of all your trouble.
