Righteousness For Everyone

by Tim Davidson | Devotions, Featured Devotions

“Even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them, that believe: for there is no difference.”

(Rom. 3:22)

Jesus died for all mankind so that all could be saved. This righteousness, being right with God in His presence, is available to every individual on earth. It has come unto all mankind. But it will only come on those who believe in Jesus.

The Message Bible says: “The God-setting-things-right that we read about has become Jesus-setting-things-right for us. And not only for us, but for everyone who believes in him. For there is no difference between us and them in this.”

God treats everyone alike. He accepts people only because they have faith in Jesus Christ and not for their works or religious effort. The righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ is what gives us God’s approval. No distinction is made and no discrimination is found in Jesus Christ.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am right with God because I trust in Jesus and His righteous standing with the Father has come on me.
