Seeking Heavenly Things

by Tim Davidson | Uncategorized

Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

(Col. 3:1 NASB)

The scripture says that we were raised up with Christ when He was raised from the dead and we have a new life in Him. If this is true for us, then we are to give our thoughts to the things above, where Christ Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. Thinking heavenly thoughts will draw us upward and help end our low down ways.

The Message Bible says: So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides.

We are told to focus on the things that are above where Christ holds the highest seat of honor. Jesus Christ rules at God’s right hand and we are in Christ through the new birth. All power and authority comes to us, and through us, by our union with Jesus. So, since we were brought back to life in Christ, let’s not waste it with low living.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am raised up with Jesus Christ and seated at His right hand. I seek the things that pertain to heaven because I want to do His will.
