“Unto the church of God, which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.”
You are sanctified in Christ Jesus. Sanctified means: to make holy, purified or consecrated. Paul is writing to those who have been made holy and set apart in Christ Jesus. In Jesus you are called a saint by the choice of God. Jesus Christ chose you to be His very own, and you can now call upon His name.
The Message Bible says: “I send this letter to you in God’s church at Corinth, Christians cleaned up by Jesus and set apart for a God-filled life. I include in my greeting all who call out to Jesus, wherever they live. He’s their Master as well as ours!”
We are men and women consecrated in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, washed in the blood of Jesus and set apart for His use. Because God loves us and accepts us, we can freely call on His name and receive His help. So call, He’s waiting online for you.
I am sanctified in Jesus and I can call on His name and trust Him for help to live my life today.
