The Armor Of God

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”

(Eph. 6:11 NASB)

The next few days we will discover the benefits of the armor of God given to us so each believer can stand firm. Notice it is called the “full armor” of God. It is total armor covering all vulnerable areas that the enemy might attack. We are fully covered.

The Message Bible says: “So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way.”

This armor we are to put on enables us to defend ourselves against the devil’s tricks. As a believer in Jesus Christ, we can take our stand against the enemy and never once fear the outcome. Our enemy, the devil, has many schemes and strategies in mind to combat us. But God gives us a defense plan.

He has clothed us with a whole array of armor that protects us and makes us relentlessly victorious in our walk with God. No matter what the enemy has in mind for us, it is never enough to defeat us. We are fully clad in God’s armor and we’re not afraid of anything.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I put on the whole armor of God and I stand against all the strategies of the enemy.
