“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”
Before the creation of the world, God chose us in Christ to be holy and perfect in His presence. God didn’t say all people are holy and blameless. Only those who put their trust in Jesus qualify.
The Message Bible says: “Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.”
It is only because of our union with Christ that we are holy and without fault before God. When God looks at us He sees us not as we see, but He sees us in Christ Jesus. We look real good in Christ. Without Him we look very much different. In Christ we are holy and unblemished before Him, because of His love.
I am holy and free from all evil before God because I believe in Jesus. I am chosen in Christ to live with and for Him.
