“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.”
To be bold means to be outspoken, frank, or blunt. It also includes a sense of assurance. It is not wise to be bold and outspoken in areas in which we have no knowledge or no commitment. It’s in Christ Jesus that we become bold with confidence to speak out what we know for the glory of God.
The Message Bible says: “When we trust in him, we’re free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go.”
In Christ we have the privilege to enter into God’s very presence. We experience a joyful sense of freedom and liberty in His presence. Only because of our union with Jesus, we have boldness to go into the throne room with all confidence. Jesus gave us access to the family of God and God welcomes us in.
I can be bold to enter the presence of God because of Jesus. He provides courage, confidence and access through His faithfulness.
