“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
To have the mind of Christ implies many different things for the believer. We have the ability to assimilate the same attitude He has, the same disposition as Christ, and we understand what Jesus is thinking because He has shared His thoughts with us in the Word of God. Basically we have the inside story.
The Message Bible says: “Isaiah’s question, ‘Is there anyone around who knows God’s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?’ has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ’s Spirit.”
Paul is quoting Isaiah 40:13. The question is who can understand God, or know His thoughts? The answer is clear. We can. We have been given the key to the inside track of God’s plan, purpose, will, and emotions. We have the mind of Christ.
We can know what God wants us to do, say, be, and become. It’s all because we have the mind of Christ. About the time we feel confused, mentally slow, and somewhat ignorant, remember that we have the mind of Christ. Believe it and say it now.
I have the mind of Christ today. I can know the will of God and think His thoughts.
