Whom God Raised

by | A Verse A Day

Let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health.

(Acts 4:10 NASB)

Peter had said to the crippled man at the Gate Beautiful, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have, give I you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” In Jesus we all can be made whole and have a fully meaningful life. But notice, this was all possible because God had raised Jesus from the dead.

The Message Bible says: I’ll be completely frank with you—we have nothing to hide. By the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the One you killed on a cross, the One God raised from the dead, by means of his name this man stands before you healthy and whole.

Because of the resurrection of Jesus, His Name is available to be used to raise us up. His Name heals us. His Name delivers us. His Name gives a promise of a bright future in heaven. Wow, what a Name; what a Savior!

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am made whole by the name of Jesus.
In Him I am healed and delivered.
