You Are Loosed From Your Infirmity

by | The Anointed Word

“And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity” (Luke 13:12 KJV).

No matter how long that sickness or disease has been in your body, you can be healed today if you can believe. We see an account of Jesus the Healer in Luke chapter 13. For 18 years this woman had been bound with sickness. But Jesus proclaimed that it was enough. She was a descendant of Abraham, she had a covenant of healing, and she should be loosed from her infirmity right then.

When Jesus saw this woman bowed over, He called her to him and said “Woman you are loosed from your infirmity.” She didn’t look loosed. He said you are loosed from this infirmity. He hadn’t done anything yet. He just spoke the Word over her. And then He laid his hands on her. And she was healed immediately, and glorified God. That is where we get the laying on of hands from, Jesus himself.

The religious people of that day majored on the method of healing Jesus used. Jesus responded, “…ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?” (Luke 13:16 KJV).

First we see that sickness and disease comes from Satan. Secondly, if there is any day she ought to be loosed it is on the Sabbath day. Thirdly, because she is a daughter of Abraham, she should not be bound.

Now then, what does that mean to you? If you’ve received Jesus as your Lord then you belong to Jesus, the Anointed One, the Christ. “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Gal. 3:29). You are also Abraham’s seed, and if she should be loosed from her infirmity, then you should be loosed from your infirmity.

Jesus said it about this woman, and He hasn’t changed His mind. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And healing belongs to every believer, every day of the week.

Right now, you can do as Jesus did. The Bible says that believers shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Well, you are a believer. You can lay hands on yourself and receive your healing. Then say from this moment forward that you are healed.

You may have an immediate healing, or it may manifest gradually, an hour from now, a week from now. But as long as you believe, the healing power of God is affecting a healing and a cure in your body from the top of your head to the souls of your feet. Receive your healing now, in Jesus’ name.
