"And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian" (Gen. 39:2).

The Lord was with Joseph and he was a prosperous man. Joseph was a prosperous man because the Lord was with him.

Joseph was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. Now this man is a slave, yet he is still prosperous. Now, being in a position of slavery you wouldn't think would be a position of prosperity.

But the Word of God says that even though Joseph was a slave, he prospered even in slavery. Now, if Joseph can prosper in slavery, you can prosper in whatever town, city, state, or country you are in.

Wherever you are, you can prosper. There is no place that is too tough. There is no region of the country that is too hard. I didn't read in the Word of God where it said God's Word would work except in certain places. The Word will work wherever it is put to work. The Word will work right in your situation.

I pastor a church in the Midwest. I pastor a church in the south. I pastor a church out in the western part of the United States. And people are people wherever I go. They've got different traditions, and because of certain emphases in different regions of the country, there is a little difference in languages, there's a little different approach to different things.

For example, pastoring the church in Atlanta is different in some respects than pastoring the church in Michigan. It is simply because of the way in which customs are. But when you get down to brass tacks, the Word of God works for them all the same. And they all still have the same result—victory.

Now, I want you to note, it said here that the Lord was with Joseph. That means that Joseph was with the Lord. You have to be with the Lord in all you do. And the Lord will be with you everywhere you go to prosper you wherever you are.
