Young people don't let sitting on the living room couch, watching TV playing the latest video game, be the final resting place for what God wants to do in your life!
Better yet don't let reading God's Word become a religious activity that you just do because you think that you HAVE to! If you don't expect to be changed by God's Word, that is exactly what you will get out of it. NOTHING!
The Gospel is a continuous thrust of God's ability and vision for the world. God's Word is powerful! It has the ability to change lives! I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation (Rom. 1:16).
So don't ever allow reading God's Word to become a mundane boring, just HAVE-to-do-it thing! Get into His Word and let it become a part of your life. Get into that place!
Because that "place" will lead you to God's position for your life and when you are in position...God's presence will surround you. And when you are surrounded by His presence, God's power will become available unto you!
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father" (John 14:12 NIV).
