Joshua was one man with the Spirit of God on him. His obedience caused Israel to inherit all the great promises God had given them. Even after Joshua's death, the elders of that generation continued to walk with God, hearing and obeying His commands.

That's the picture of the Joshua generation. And we're the picture of the Jesus generation! We are first fruits unto Him, separated by the Word of God unto Him for this hour. God has never had a generation to work with like this one. But we're near the end of this age, and He has to have it now. We're right on time!

So many new ways are available to preach the gospel. We're the first generation to have television, the Internet, satellites, airplanes, videotapes, audiotapes and radio. There have never been so many books abounding full of God's truth.

Of course, all these avenues of communication are high-dollar items. A minister can't go on television and spend just a little bit of money; he has to spend millions of dollars every month.

That's why Satan's worst nightmare is a generation of believers who know the Word of God, walk by faith, walk in the ways of God and will do what they're told. And this generation is it!

We have been separated to walk by faith and not by sight, to speak faith words, to talk to mountains and see them removed, to allow God to perform miracles in our lives.

We have courage through the spirit of faith, just as our father Abraham had. He believed and he spoke, and he wasn't moved by anything, including his wife's and his own aged bodies. He was fully persuaded that God was able to keep His promise, and that's exactly what God did (Rom. 4:16-21)!

The Spirit of God is in us. The spirit of faith is in us. We are strong and we are able because God is in us, and He makes us able!

We may be the last generation before Jesus returns, but we are a ready generation. We just need to do some fine-tuning and exercise more diligence in what we're doing. We must live unto God and give Him first place.

Be a part of the prepared generation. Whatever God tells you to do, whether it's spending more time in prayer and in the Word or making some other change in your life, take action on it. Follow through with it. You never know where that next step of obedience will take you, but you know it's God's best. Let God be God, and go take your promised land!
