Prayer is the key to walking in the Spirit. This Scripture tells me that if I want to stay pure and Glorify God in my body, I must walk in the Spirit. Therefore, I must be a person of prayer.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
(Gal. 5:16)
Prayer is the key to glorifying God in your body; if you don't have a prayer life, the chances are great that in the midst of temptation you will fall.

However, if you are a person who consistently spends time with God in prayer, you will be charged up spiritually and will be able to resist temptation using His strength to do what you know is right.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
(2 Cor. 10:3-5)
The mind is the battlefield and it is the place where Satan will aim his attack at you. Remember that he is subtle, he will try to slowly nudge you into sin by systematically placing thoughts in your mind.

He won't start out trying to get you to commit a "big, major" sin (although sin is sin), but will just place suggestions in your mind to see if you will do them.

If you do them, he'll try to take another inch and another until he's got you in bondage again. Remember to give him no place by not taking his thoughts, reject his suggestions and replace them with the Word. Throw out the seed before it becomes a tree.
And when the woman saw the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes....
(Gen. 3:6)
Watch your eyes, protect your eye-gate because a gate is exactly what they are. They are the pathway to your mind and spirit.

That means no dirty movies and no undressing people with your eyes. If you do, you may find yourself in a position where you will be undressing with your hands, your life shipwrecked, and Satan laughing.

Keep your eyes straight ahead on the prize - Jesus.
...meditate therein day and night.
(Josh. 1:8)
Whatever you constantly meditate on (think on), that you will do. Make a decision to go through the Word and find out what God says about your body and meditate on that.

The Word will keep you, as you think on those things that are true, honest, and of a good report.
