When we make a decision to adapt our lives to the Rock, then and only then will we be on a sure foundation all the days of our lives.
"Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding" (Prov. 4:7 KJV).

Wisdom is essential in building a sure foundation.

Proverbs 14:1 reads, "Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." Therefore, we need to locate any area in our lives where we are foolish. As long as we are foolish, there is no wisdom in that area.

The Bible says get and pursue wisdom because it is very important to build on the foundation that God has for us—that is Jesus, the Anointed One.

Luke 6:48-49 illustrates the story of wise and foolish builders. This story will help us locate any area of our lives that are destroying our foundation.

Verse 48 says, "He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great" (KJV).

These builders had a number of things in common: they both heard the Word. They both built houses. And the stream beat the same way against them. However, the wise man's house could not be shaken because he built it upon a rock: a sure foundation.

So, we want to be wise builders. The foolish person doesn't have the same viewpoint as God. Find the areas that need adjusting and begin to operate in wisdom regarding those areas.

Jesus wants us to have our lives together and to build our lives on Him in order that we may continue to grow, to mature, to perfect ourselves, to adjust and to adapt our lives to His Word. We are His body. He doesn't want to be the head of a body with a distorted foot. He is our Rock.

When we make a decision to adapt our lives to the Rock, then and only then will we be on a sure foundation all the days of our lives.
