“Likewise exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you” (Titus 2:6-8).
The nature of a Christian is different than the nature of someone that is of the world. That’s because Christians have the Holy Spirit living within them pulling them toward the things of God and if we yield to God’s Spirit, we will attain integrity.
Christians have been born again. They are different creatures than the creatures of the world. Christians have the character and the same nature as God.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).
As a Christian, you have been born of the spirit and you have the same spiritual genetics as your Father. The Bible tells us that whoever is born of God does not sin because the seed of God resides in him (1 John 3:9).
Again as a Christian, you are different from the world. This difference, although it is spiritual, should be seen in the physical. A Christian should think, talk and act after the manner of their Father, God. Everything we say and do should be an imitation of our Father.
When Jesus was here on the earth, He made an interesting statement. He said He did not do anything, nor did He speak anything, unless the Father spoke it first.
God is a God of character and integrity. If we live our lives and only say and do what He imparts to us, then our lives will also be full of character and integrity. The world will see the honesty of our lives and they will be drawn to the Source.
Each and every day as we live our lives in the world, we will be a living billboard, proclaiming the way to Jesus.
