All Things Are Become New

by | Devotions, The Anointed Word

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old thing are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).

When you got born again, you were not recycled. You do not have part of the devil in you and part of God in you. You are not a spiritual schizophrenic. You do not have the old man’s nature. No, God’s Word says, old things are passed away and all things are become new.

Well, the word “all’ leaves out nothing, right? So when God came and changed your life, he didn’t leave anything as far as your spirit man is concerned. He came in and did a new thing on the inside of you, because he likes things to be fresh and new.

In Matthew 26, you will find that we have a new covenant with God. It is called The New Testament. The word “testament” means covenant. God likes everything new, not only your life, but He gives us new mercies every morning.

The Bible tells us His compassions fail not, and that His mercies and compassions are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness toward us. Isn’t that good news? Have you ever needed His mercy before? I know I have. We cry for justice many times. But we don’t need justice from God. We need mercy.

There is a big difference between justice and mercy. Justice gives you what you deserve; mercy is letting you slide when you deserve the penalty. Well, God provided new mercy for you every single day.

Now, my wife loves to drink coffee when she gets up. I mean she is a new woman when she gets that fresh cup of hot coffee in the morning. Well, when you get up every morning there is a fresh hot cup of mercy available for you. There is a fresh hot cup of compassion available for you. And God in His eminent love for you has given you new mercy. It is fresh mercy everyday.

It doesn’t matter about your past or what you may deserve. God’s love is ready to extend fresh mercy and compassion for you every morning – just receive it.

He is the God of new beginnings; He is the God that is like no other. He has opened for you His new treasures, things that have been held in reserve. You will say I never knew it could be like this. And God will say, “Yes, it is fresh; it is new, and it is for you.”
