“Jesus said unto him, ‘If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth'” (Mark 9:23).
Jesus made a powerful statement to the man who brought his son to Him for deliverance. He said, “All things are possible to him that believeth.”
The reason Jesus could say that is shown in Hebrews 1:1-2: “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of ALL things….”
How many is all? All is all! Jesus has been made heir of all things.
Then Romans 8:16-17 says, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ….” Many times we in the Church world have shouted about this promise, but most of us have never gone back to find out what it means.
If you are a joint heir with someone, then whatever he inherits also belongs to you. Well, what did Jesus inherit? God appointed Him heir of all things.
Jesus said in Mark 10:27, “For with God all things are possible.” Well, that’s great for God, but what about us? Jesus cleared up that question as well when He said, “All things are possible to him that believeth.” Why are all things possible to the person who believes? Because we are joint heirs with Jesus, the heir of all things!
So whatever God has, whatever He is and whatever He can do is available to us as we learn to believe God and tap our faith into His grace and His ability. If we in the Church world would just get a hold of that, it would absolutely change our lives. All things are possible to us when we believe!
With God, all things are possible. He is greater than any sickness, any disease, any difficulty, any lack. He’s greater than all, and He lives in me-so all things are possible to me because I believe!
