‘Ask, and it Shall be Done Unto You.’

by Mark Brazee | 365 Days of Healing

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).

Jesus said to His disciples, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, My words abiding in you will produce faith. Then you’ll ask whatever you will, and it will be done unto you.”

I didn’t say that—Jesus did!

Now, Jesus did put limits on that promise. He didn’t give us carte blanche; He wasn’t saying, “Ask for anything you want, period.” No, Jesus said, “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you….”

You see, if His Word is abiding in you and you’re walking with Him, you won’t be able to ask in faith for anything that’s unscriptural; you’ll only ask for things that line up with the Word. That’s God’s checks-and-balances system.

What Jesus is saying in this verse is that you can have a miracle at your own discretion. You don’t have to sit back and wait to see whether it’s God’s own good time. He said, “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you!”

You have Jesus’ word on it—you can initiate a miracle anytime you want!

Confession:

I abide in Jesus, and His Word abides in me.

Therefore, I ask whatever I will, and it is

done unto me. Healing is in God’s Word.

When symptoms try to come, I ask for healing,

and it’s given to me. I am healed!
