Ask, and You Shall Receive

by | 365 Days of Healing

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:23-24).

One way we know our heavenly Father wants to heal us is by this verse, which tells us that He wants to answer our prayers. Out of all the things He said we could ask for in prayer, Jesus never excluded healing.

In fact, He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” He didn’t say, “He will give you whatsoever you ask – except healing”!

Jesus said, “Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

“What if I ask for healing?” you may say.

“Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

“What if it’s a physical need?”

“Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

Does God want us healed? He must, because He promised to answer our prayers – including our prayers for healing – when we pray to Him in Jesus’ name.

Confession:

God’s ears are open to my prayers for healing. I receive what I pray for in Jesus’ name, and I am filled with joy!
