Away With Fear!

by Keith Butler | Uncategorized

“And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine” (Matt. 25:25).

Fear is something that people live with every day. But fear is the very thing that will cause you to live a defeated life. Believers must once and for all do away with fear. Fear should have no place in a believer’s life, because Jesus has commanded us to trust God and FEAR NOT!

Fear will cause you to make excuses for not producing what you should. It is evident in the parable of the talents. The master left his servants with certain talents.

One had five talents, one had two talents, and the other had one talent. While their master was away, the ones that had the five and two talents had produced a harvest. Yet, the one who had only one talent simply gave the master back that same talent. Why didn’t he do anything with it? He was afraid.

That is a serious deal. A man full of fear will not produce. Fear stops him from using everything that he has to produce a certain result. Now fear will stop you from singing in the choir, and it will stop you from street witnessing. It will stop you from giving. It will stop you from walking in love with your spouse.

If God called you to sing in the choir, then God will bless you as you do it. If God told you to go street witnessing, then He will provide His anointing for you to do it.

God says to give, then blessings will come to you as you give. God commands us to walk in love, then your marriage will be blessed as you do it. God will do what He said He will do. When you do your part, He will do His.

Fear that God is not going to do what he said is really the underlying issue. Conversely, we should be so full of the Word of God that all fear is washed out. The way to wash out all fear is to do what Jesus said to do in Matthew chapter 6. Verse 25 says, “Therefore, I say unto you take no thought for your lifeā€¦.” Another way to say it is “Have no fear here.” It is the same thing.

Jesus is saying, “Why in the world would you take thoughts of fear?” The Father takes care of all things. He said that He will be with you. He will never leave you, and He will never forsake you. He said He will punish your enemies, and He’ll protect you in battle. He said He’ll give you whatever you need whenever you need it.

God said He is with you even when you can’t feel it, even when you can’t see it, and when everybody else says that you have been abandoned. He said He is there and He will prove it at the right time.

Right now, do away with fear, because you can always trust the word of God. You can trust what He said about healing. You can trust what He said about relationships. You can trust what He says about giving. You can trust what He said about promotion, and you can trust what He said about winning.

If you believe it, you can have it.
