(Mark 10:43-45)
You can be a champion for the Lord. It’s not how many home runs you hit, how beautiful you are, how much real estate you own, or any other success there is. Becoming a champion for God is what you do for Him. The key to becoming a champion is being a servant.
Years ago, we joined forces with Feed the Children, the Power Team, and the Convoy of Hope to have a feeding outreach and to preach the gospel.
We were praying when the first people who came for food arrived an hour early—a grandma in a wheelchair with six kids. She said, “I need a little help.” One of her daughters had been killed in an accident, another daughter was in prison, and she was raising their children. What a joy it was to give her some food. A servant of the Lord had driven her and the children to our site to get some food. Both the grandma and the woman who drove her were champions.
The stairway to championship is servanthood. Sometimes servants are not known by anyone on earth, but they are known by our Father in heaven.
