What are you planning to be and do this year?
There has been a lot of talk about the new year. If the events of the last two years are indicators of what will happen this year, the outlook is not good from the worldly perspective.
There have been predictions of catastrophes, shortages, wars and even the end of the world. I believe whatever happens, God will be there with us to protect us and help us through. It is very comforting to know the Word Jesus gave us in John 16.33:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”
As I prayed for God’s direction in this new year, the Lord simply gave me two words. It was “TURN and GO.”
I knew what He was talking about, and I endeavor to do exactly what He wants. How about you? Does that mean anything to you? If it doesn’t, that’s OK. But if it does, allow the Holy Spirit to continue to minister to you so He can unfold His plan for you this year.
As I was praying the other night for the ministry and seeking direction, I heard myself saying some things that really helped me hear more of God’s voice. It was a simple spiritual exercise that I am calling, “FAITH STATEMENT WITH A BLANK.”
Here is how you can do it. Start speaking a statement that you need direction on but don’t know yet what the ending is. When you come to the end of the statement, keep your mind quiet and just allow your spirit to take over and listen to what comes out.
For example statements like:
- The thing I need to do now is: __________
- The people I am called to help right now are: __________
- My purpose is to: __________
- My giftings are: __________
I pray you get some further revelations like I have in doing this. God is not trying to keep it from you. He wants you to come into more and more revelations of Him and His plan for you.
Continue to pray for Pastor Marina in Vladivostok, Russia and for Natasha in Alexandria, Egypt. These women of God need our support in the challenging areas they are in. Also continue to pray for me as I minister in Belarus during the winter and spring. There are many people in need here and I desire to have God’s precise leading regarding whom to help and to minister to.
We love and appreciate you dearly and are praying that you have God’s direction, protection, health, and blessings!
