“That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies” (Gen 22:17).
God made this statement to Abraham when He made His covenant with him. Now, the blessing is to Abraham and his seed. His seed is Jesus. And since you are in Christ Jesus, you are Abraham’s seed.
Do you know what that means? Not only would Jesus possess the gate of His enemy, but so would you. That means, not only does Jesus have authority to deal with the devil, to occupy by driving him out and replacing him, so do you. That means the devil has no authority over you, and when you speak in Jesus’ name, you can take back anything that the devil has in his possession.
Take back your family. Take back your healing. Take back your money. Take back your joy. Take back your peace. You are the seed of Abraham. And through you will all families of the earth be blessed. How? You are going to preach the good news.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon you, and He has anointed you to preach the gospel, because you have the promise of the Spirit. You are filled with the Holy Spirit. You are of God, and you are an overcomer; because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
A lot of times people read the Bible and see that Jesus cast out devils, and Jesus laid hands on the sick, and they think, it is wonderful what Jesus did. But look at what Jesus said about you. He said, that these signs shall follow them that believe. In His name they shall cast out devils. They shall lay hands on the sick, just like Jesus did, and they shall recover.
Now someone will say, “You can’t bring God down to our level.” I don’t have to bring God down to our level. He brought Himself down. He declared us as being righteous. There was a big switch. Jesus took our sin and gave us His righteousness. He took our poverty and gave us His riches. He took our depression and gave us His joy. God made us His children.
Abraham possessed the gate of his enemy. Jesus possessed the gate of the devil when He defeated him. Now you go! Claim your healing; get your children out of the devil’s hands; claim all that belongs to you. Possess the gate of the enemy!
