God Is Able and Willing

by Mark Brazee | 365 Days of Healing

“And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing” (Luke 9:11).

When I first started hearing the truth of God’s Word about healing, I studied the subject with great interest. But whenever symptoms hit my body, my first thought was, “I wonder why God allowed this to happen?” It took me years to get rid of that doubt and unbelief the enemy had planted in me.

When we know God’s ability but doubt His willingness, it’s like slapping Him in the face. Stop and think about it. Suppose you came to me and said, “Now, Mark, I have a real problem here, and I know you’d help me if you could. But I realize you don’t have the capability or the equipment to help me.” I’d feel good that you thought I cared enough to help if I could.

But suppose you said, “Now, Mark, I have a real problem here. I know you could help me if you wanted to, but I don’t know if you want to.” It would hurt my feelings that you found me so uncaring!

How much more, then, does it hurt our Father when we go to Him and say, “I know You’re able, Lord, but I don’t know if You’re willing”? The worst part is that God’s Word tells us He is willing, but many of us haven’t bothered to take the time to search out the truth.

So don’t insult your heavenly Father by doubting His willingness to heal you. He is able and willing to heal you. You have His Word on it!

Confession:
I will never insult my Father by doubting
His willingness to heal me. God’s will is
health and healing. He is able and willing to heal me,
so I honor Him by receiving His healing touch today!
