God Makes Everything Beautiful

by | The Spirit Filled Believer

“He has made everything beautiful in its time…” (Ecc. 3:11).

The original creation was so awesome, majestic, and beautiful that morning stars sang together and sons of God shouted for joy (Job 38:7). Flawless, perfect, and magnificent was the creation. God Himself examined it all and declared that it was “very good” (Gen. 1:31).

But then an oppressive shadow came over this divine work of beauty. One of the head angels become self-willed and instigated an insurrection against the divine Creator (Isa. 14:12-15; Rev. 12:7-10). As a result, creation became marred and discordant.

As human beings, created by God, you and I are a miniature world, a microcosm of the original creation. We are a world of our own. Just as Genesis 1:1 tells of God’s creating heaven and earth, so He also made us beautiful in our infancy. But under the influence of that fallen angel, like all of God’s creation, we too become “damaged goods.” When sin came into our lives, we became “emptiness and confusion” (Gen. 1:2).

Salvation is a salvage work. Redemption is a restoration. Our creator has intervened to give us beauty of ashes. Now that we in Christ, we are no longer “damaged goods.” His promise that He would send a Redeemer to beautify the meek with salvation has been fulfilled (Ps. 149:4). The defective has now been restored to its original pristine newness (2 Cor. 5:17).

Your God has made everything beautiful again. So, think beauty…talk beauty…walk beauty…believe beauty…behave beauty…enjoy beauty! Because of Whose you are, you are beautiful!
