Jesus said in Matthew 5:37, “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.”
We must be definitive in what we say. However, we must be sure that what we say is truth. God takes positive words and connects them with positive statements of truth. For example, He said:
- “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5).
- “Lo, I am with you always” (Matt. 28:20).
- “And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thess. 4:17).
- “Always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15).
- “Love never fails” (1 Cor. 13:8).
- “He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35).
Remember, God never lies and always tells the truth. The devil always lies and never tells the truth.

Dr. Larry Ollison is founder and Senior Pastor of Walk on the Water Faith Church and founder of Larry Ollison Ministries. He founded and served as chairman of the Missouri State Marine Board, President of the Marine Dealers’ Association, Vice-President of a bank holding company, along with holding several directorships in various corporations.
Dr. Ollison's strongest areas of teaching are the blood of Jesus, faith, relationships, the Hebrew language, the Holy Spirit, the end times, and heaven.
