There are two systems: God’s prosperity that comes when you chase after God, and the world’s prosperity.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
(1 Tim. 6:9)
Paul did not say that this would happen to those who are rich. He said that this would happen to those who crave, lust after, and chase riches.
There are two systems: God’s prosperity that comes when you chase after God, and God causes abundance to chase after you; and the world’s prosperity that results from chasing after money because you really don’t know God.
You cannot know God and still act like the world, chasing after things, lusting after things or buying things simply because you want what someone else has. You have to discipline your flesh. God will not bless your mess. As long as you violate Scripture, He is unable to put His hand into your financial life and change things. You need to first go back to God’s Word and make some decisions about how you will live your life. Then, He will be able to help you.
