“Let the children of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time. On the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time. According to all its rites and ceremonies you shall keep it” (Num. 9:2-3).
God is a God of timing. He is exact in His plans for Israel and He is exact in His plans for your life. Too often Christians will take just whatever comes their way in life. This should not be.
We should reach out and take what God wants us to take. And how do we know what He wants us to take? He wants us to take His promise for us and receive it by faith.
Over the years many of us faith preachers have been accused of being the “name it and claim it” group or “blab it and grab it” preachers. It’s true! If we are truly faith people, then we must name God’s promise and claim it personally for ourselves.
Only when we reach out to God’s Word and believe it 100% and confess it and act on that confession will we receive.
God has a plan for your life. He wants you to believe what He says about you and receive it in its fullness.
Years ago I counseled with a man who had been told he had a terminal disease. This man eventually died. In all of my conversations with him we couldn’t get past one point. He could not understand that everything that happens in this life is not God’s will.
He had been taught from an early age that when he prayed he was to say, “If it be Thy will….” Because of this teaching, he did not see the necessity of digging into God’s Word and finding out the true will of God for his life. He just simply had an attitude of “Oh well, whatever happens must be God.”
If Satan can lull us into this mind set, then we will never take the authority that God intended for us to take. Jesus gave authority to the twelve disciples and then later gave authority to the seventy that He sent out. And then He gave total authority over the forces of evil to all who believe.
If you are a Christian, that includes you. If you are a Christian and you don’t believe this, then your belief is contrary to God’s Word. This is not an opinion. This is truth.
Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19). Then later, before He ascended, He said, “These signs will follow those who believe” (Mark 16:17).
Yes, God has a plan for your life and for every plan, there is God’s timing. Seek God’s plan and timing for your life and then take authority over everything that would stand in the way. You are equipped with the necessary power and anointing to do the task.
