Grace Is Given

by | A Verse A Day, Devotions

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God, which is given you by Jesus Christ.

(1 Cor. 1:4 KJV)

We have been given the grace of God to help us in our times of need. When things are hard and victory seems far off we have the tools God provides us through Jesus Christ. We must never stop thanking God for being so kind to us that He gave us His Son.

The Message Bible says: Every time I think of you—and I think of you often! I thank God for your lives of free and open access to God, given by Jesus.

God’s grace is given to change the way we truly are. Some things God does are to get us through a trial, but some are to change us into His image and likeness. When we receive God’s grace in our heart we are forever changed.

We don’t forget it and we don’t have to try to act on it. Grace is the work of God in us that removes the old order and imparts Christ’s likeness in its place. That grace stays with us from that moment forward forever.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

Jesus Christ has given me the grace of God for the purpose of molding me into His image.
