Grace to Help

by | The Anointed Word

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb. 4:16 KJV).

We all have to fall on God’s mercy at the throne. God is there, not only extending tender mercy toward us, but also providing “… grace to help in good time for every need, appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it” (Heb. 4:16 AMP).

Stop saying, “nobody is helping me.” If nobody is helping you, it’s because you have not come to the throne. The One helping you is not someone who lacks the power to get the job done. The One helping you is all powerful, all sufficient—He’s God almighty! No foe can stand against His power. And He gives His people help.

You can go to the throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in your time of need. You need to understand, however, that your “time” and God’s “time” may be different.

You believe God for many things. You might ask, “When is it going to come?” It’s going to come when it’s time. You might think you need it right now, but God has a plan. God’s plan, when it comes, will bring Him glory. Trust God—what you believe for will manifest when it’s time.

“Yeah, but Bishop Butler, you don’t know what I’m facing. Nobody has faced the situation that I’m dealing with.” First Corinthians 10:13 informs us, “There is no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

First, you’re not the only one who has faced what you’re facing. There is nothing new under the sun.

Second, Jesus was tempted in all points like we are, yet without sin. Jesus has been in your position. He’s faced what you are facing—and He beat the devil every time. Jesus knows how to bring you out of the temptation.

In fact, Jesus will create the way of escape for you if one doesn’t exist, Hallelujah! That’s the great grace of God. So wipe your tears away and come boldly unto the throne of grace. God is on your side! God is your help Great grace, favor is on your side.
